Arthur Stanley Buswell
In 1901, Arthur was living with his parents and siblings at Beamsley Road, Shipley but
by the time of the 1911 census he was at 26 Clifton Place, Shipley with Annie Marian,
his Shipley-born wife of less than a year.
According to the CWGC website, at the time of his death his wife was living at 80
Marine Parade, Morecambe though it is not clear if he had also moved across the
Pennines because his work is given as in Bradford. As we can see below, she and her son
Stanley, were back in Shipley in 1918.
On 31 August 1917, the Shipley Times & Express reported: Gunner Arthur Buswell,
younger son of the late Mr and Mrs H Buswell of Shipley, has died of wounds. He was
34 years of age
