Pte Norman Gilks of the Duke of
Wellington’s Regiment, and the son of Mr
and Mrs Joseph Gilks of 18 Esholt Lane,
Baildon, has been killed in action.
He had been in the army about five months
and had only served in France three weeks.
He was 19 years old.
