News has been received that Pte James Henry Gott, Grenadier Guards, of 9 Windsor Road, Shipley, was killed in action on 30th March. He joined the colours in August 1916 and had been 15 months at the front. Thirty-two years of age, he was a window cleaner in partnership with Pte J T Gaunt, Essex Regt, of 39 Earl Street, Shipley, and was interested in football and cricket.
