James Lister
James was born and raised in Addingham but sometime after the 1901
census he moved to Shipley. He married Mary Susannah in 1908 and by
1911 they were at Dale Street with two children with James working as a
machine woolcomber.
We know that James was in action early in the war because there is a
report in the Shipley Times & Express on 27 November 1914 saying he
had been sent home on two weeks’ sick furlough.
The next we hear of him is on 4 May 1917.
