Frank Townsley
Mrs Frank Townsley, 12 Church Street, Windhill, has received official
notification that her husband was killed on 19th August whilst serving in
France.
He had only been at the front six weeks.
Before the war Pte Townsley, who was 37 years of age, was employed by
Mr Henry Mason, spinner and manufacturer, Victoria Street, Shipley.
He was a valued member of the Order of Oddfellows and for over 13
years had been connected with the secretarial duties, the latter eight
having been secretary of his lodge.
He leaves a widow
