At the time of the 1911 census, Cyril was living with his parents and siblings at 89 Shay Lane, Ovenden, near Halifax but by the time he enlisted, on 25 January 1917, they had moved to 4 Bankfield Road in Nab Wood Cyril was one of the more than 20 million people killed by the flu pandemic that spread across the world in 1918. The brief report in the Shipley Times & Express on 8 November 1918 reads: Driver Cyril Henry Wilson, M.T. A.S.C., second son of Mr and Mrs Frederick G Wilson of 4 Bankfield Road, Nab Wood, died in hospital from influenza on 27th October.
