Stanley Frank Woodall
Stanley was born in Hull in 1878 the eldest of six children of master tailor
William Woodall and his wife Elizabeth. The family moved to Bradford
sometime around 1890 and in December 1907, Stanley married Jennie
Ethel Womersley, the daughter of a Shipley draper.
At the time of the 1911 census the couple were living in Rotherham and
while it would appear that before the war they moved to Shipley it could
be that Jennie just went to live with her parent while Stanley was in the
army.
On 24 April 1917, the Shipley Times & Express published a brief notice:
Pte Stanley F Woodall of 178 Bradford Road, Shipley, has died from
pneumonia.
